The Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations (Concilio), the oldest Latino agency in Philadelphia, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to serve as its Executive Director. The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, reporting directly to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The organization is seeking a dynamic visionary with a successful fundraising track record who can engage and build consensus among various internal and external stakeholders. The individual should also possess strong operations management and staff development skills.

The Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations was founded on October 1, 1962, by Latino leaders concerned with the many problems facing Philadelphia’s Latino community. It is incorporated as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation and since its inception has been guided by its mission to ensure that equitable social, educational, health and cultural services are available and affordable to everyone.

Concilio services are located in urban neighborhoods wrestling with issues of race, youth violence, and financial challenges. The Executive Director should possess a deep understanding of the history and dynamics of these neighborhoods, and a strong appreciation for both the resources and challenges that Philadelphia’s children and families face.

Southeast Asia Resource Action Center

The Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC), founded in 1979, is a national organization advancing the interests of Cambodian, Laotian, and Vietnamese Americans through leadership development, capacity building, and community empowerment. SEARAC fosters the development of nonprofit organizations led by and for Southeast Asian Americans and serves as a coalition-builder and leader, carries out action-oriented research projects, and strengthens the capacity of community-based organizations such as mutual assistance associations (MAAs) and faith-based organizations (FBOs). We also foster civic engagement among Southeast Asian Americans and represent our communities at the national level in Washington, DC.

Position Summary: The Communications Director is responsible for developing SEARAC’s key communications and marketing campaigns and executing the necessary strategies to increase awareness about SEARAC’s work and the issues SEARAC prioritizes. In addition, the Communications Director will develop public relations materials for the organization and will develop and maintain relationships with media contacts.
